Yup Simon - that's interesting and excellent.
Great looking figures and lovely paint job - you've really shown up how fine-lining makes the figure come alive.
Love that Dennison camo - surprised to hear about the Tamiya :? but it surely works 8-)

Great job :D

Post Re: SBS - Ham & jam
Yngve, Rob, thanks for dropping by and the kind words.

Another small update, I have fine lined and shaded the second figure and I have also added some subtle highlights to the first one.-

Using Vellajo Iraquian Sand in a highly dilute form I added a mini wash (called a juice in gaming figure painting circles) to seam edges and the high points of creases. This is a very fine application that on the first go should hardly be noticeable but by the time you have given it 2 to 3 layers you will have achieved a fading of the colour beneath. This serves perfectly as a simple highlight without the bother of mixing lighter shades of every colour used in the camo scheme.

Well see what you think anyway.

I guess this phase isn't strictly speaking necessary but it adds a little more life to the colour in my opinion.

Cheers Simon

Looking really good, going to have to give this a try at some point.
