Post KitBase, database for keeping track of your kits - v1.30
Thanks again to Vinnie for allowing me to post.

I have released a new update to KitBase (v1.30)

This is a free update for owners of the database.

If you would like to try out KitBase, you can download the free trial here:
http://www.suisoft.co.uk/kitbase/index.htm

The main enhancements in this version are:

- Custom Fields - you can now add your own columns.

- Date Started field - used to indicate when work started on a kit.

- Find function - allows a quick text search of the kit list.

- Go to RecNo function - allows you to jump to a record if you know the record number

This release also addresses an intermittent crash issue encountered by two users. If you do encounter any problems with KitBase, please report them to me and I will investigate.

If you are running KitBase already, you can obtain the latest version here:
http://www.suisoft.co.uk/kitbase/download.htm

You will need to uninstall the old version via the Windows Control Panel.

Thanks to everyone who has given me suggestions, comments and encouragement. :-)

Please feel free to pass this information on to fellow modellers.

Oh God!

I still haven't posted a review to this....and I really should have by now. I'm still working on it, and every time it's mentioned it pushes me a little further to gettng it up to date. I've about three quarters done. I keep finding stuff. Then I keep finding things in the database that I can fill out. I love it!

Seriously....if you're into lists, and knowing what you have, and organising it, you'll love this. It's turing out to be seriously powerful and definitely very useful!

Gary? It won't be long now....honest.

Thanks Vinnie.

I look forward to reading the review. Hopefully the new features won't distract you too much! :)

The Custom Fields should make the database much more flexible for users with personal requirements.

I just need to crack on and get the Excel import done now that the core data model is pretty much finalised...

Cheers,
Gary
