Now I see why you were looking for that MG stand. I assume one comes in the figure kit so you are good to go? Pam

 Re: Mg nest-Kinderheim Height 1/35
Thanks for the interest fellow geeks I have almost all the parts I need to really start this one. Im still on the lookout for a frame/base to put it on,I had a pefect one,but I used it on the Finland Forest vignette I made a few onths ago,but Im off to the second hand shop before it closes today.Aaand I need to find a wire that I can cut in lenghts to produce thousands of spent shells, and then I`ll use just a few of the Adler Nest ammo in strategic places for the macro lense to capture for the final pictures. Having a closer look at the person in the photo,it looks like he has a patch over his left eye, which should easily be sorted with some putty, unless there is a perfect Hornet head with an eye-patch...

Yngve, I would think you could find some brass wire that would do the trick. Over here I see it most often in with the stuff used for hanging pictures in craft or hardware/DIY stores.

As Matt suggest, brass wire would be perfect. And at that diameter, easily cut with a sharp modelling blade. The other bonus is that no painting is required either. I'd just heat the wire first (makes it softer and easier to cut) but will also burnish it - just like a real spent cartridge case. Gary

As a thought, why not make the core of the spent cartidge mound from something like clay and then place the brass rod/shells on top. You could then send it over to Steve R who could cast it in resin for you Gary
