It's small-scale...but it's very nice!

Well I have just started watching Pacific, bought the box set very cheaply . I have to say it does make you want to build something from that Theater of operations. Maybe not in this scale for me but I will be closely watching for a 1/35 version if they get around to it. Great looking kit all the same! :)

Wow! :o :)

I fondly remember my dear old Dad making the ancient Airfix kit (of the later Amtrac) for me when I was a child - this kit looks light years ahead in detail. Now honestly, who says that Dragon don't produce quality Allied vehicles.

Thanks for sharing Vinnie

Cheers

Karol

Thanks, Vinnie! I've got enough trouble seeing 35th scale armor, but, being a sucker for amphibs and landing craft, both of these sure look tempting!!

Any rumors about indicating --- as Deano mentioned --- Dragon releasing these kits in 35th scale...? Man, while I have to pay props to Italeri for releasing their LVT series, Dragon engineering (and sometimes "over-engineering") would render truly amazing quality LVTs in 35th scale! Something to hope for!

Regards and Aloha,

Johnny B.

Johnny, where ya been? It's been a while since we've seen you around these parts and it is good to see you back.

Heya, Matt!

Good ta see ya, bro and good ta be back... Truly AWOL, I know. I finally landed a new job and the thing has been a real meat grinder... Long hours, long commute, positively insane command staff that has left me a zombie... I might've finally turned a corner on this gig, so as long as I'm not stepping into incoming traffic, I think I'm back!

Hoping to muster the energy ta finish up my Tamiya Challenger 2 over the next couple of months... Would be great to actually contribute something to the site before I am too old to see my laptop!

How 'bout you, amigo? What's the haps? I hope that life, modeling, and everything in between are good! What're you working on right now...?

Much Aloha, Matt,

Johnny B.

Johnny, glad to hear you've got work sorted, even though it doesn't sound like a walk in the park.

I'm still working on the North Africa dio, although I did have some time away from it while I completed some other projects, finished results here and here.

I look forward to seeing some of the Challenger.

Matt

Really nice work, Matt! I dig your chipping on the Dingo as well as the weld beads on the side of the hull --- they really pop! Did you add them and is this the old Tamiya kit? Tempted at some point to paint one up as South Vietnamese one of these days!

Your Sherman looks great as well --- nice job on the disruptive camo on the barrel! Weathering on the hull looks the part as well, as does your rubble and structure, dude!

Indeed, I'd like to see my Challenger, too! Also want to finish up my AAVP-7A1 and Centauro (I saw those resin wheels, Vinnie! Awesome!!) when I can squeeze out some spare time... Just got my paws on the Tasca Jumbo for a good price, but that's going to have to wait before I jump in...

Thanks for the kind words, bro. The job truly sucks and is an absolutely miserable experience BUT I am truly happy to be working again! :D

And I must say it: these new 72nd scale Dragon amtracs TRULY look awesome!! I am very tempted!!! Man they just HAVE TO scale 'em up to 1/35th!

Keep it goin' on the N. Africa dio and take care, Matt

Regards and Aloha,

Johnny B.
