Thanks Karol. That's a pretty comprehensive walkaround there.
Didn't realise the Aussies had these - tempting to do one as I love the camo scheme.

Re: WALKAROUND FEATURE: Australian Army Leopard 1
Hello Karol, Nice lot of photos there So are you going to build one of these after your Centurion? The Leopard was the tank that replaced the Centurion after all Gary, these tanks gave a good 20 plus years of service to the Australian Army before replacing the Centurion around the late 1970's and themselves being replaced by the M1A1 Abrams in 2007. The designation for these was Leopard AS1. They still get around at work occasionally. There was a bridge layer, and ARVL and one fitted with a mine plough the other day. The one with the mine plough looked awesome! Not to mention the V12 MTU engine sounds awesome too! Woody...

Re: WALKAROUND FEATURE: Australian Army Leopard 1
Thanks for this walkaround Karol. This Leopard looks in perfect condition like if it was ready to start its engine again.

Re: WALKAROUND FEATURE: Australian Army Leopard 1
Hi Woody Thanks for the good wishes mate, we're currently sitting waiting for our London connection in Hong Kong - almost half way there. Hi Olivier Glad you like the walk around. Maggie and were fortunate enough to spend a very relaxing five days on Bribie Island - we literally stumbled across the Leo whilst we were heading to the RSL for a refreshing drink. We were on the Island for ANZAC Day - taking in part of the service and a fly past by a CAC Boomerang flying out of Caboolture aerodrome (quite spectacular ). I was also fortunate enough to speak with a few ex-Diggers who had served on the Leo, they weren't very complimentary - they all said it wasn't built for the Aussie heat (especially around Darwin). This one is in excellent condition and looks very well put together. Cheers Karol
