Post PzKpfw. II Question
I'm putting the finishing touches on Tamiya's Panzer II kit and have a question: To fill or not to fill. Should the seams created by the applied armor, noted by the red arrows, be filled, have a weld bead added, or left as is?

Post Re: PzKpfw. II Question
Hello David,

Good question! I've been meaning to raise the same question concerning my Tamiya Panzer IV project.

Myself, looking at it, i deduce that the external add on plates have no welding as they have rivets.

The original hull joins, as indicated by the middle arrow of the top three arrows, would have been welded.

That's my assumption. I am sure someone here will know :P

Post Re: PzKpfw. II Question
Hi Dave! I would have to say leave it as is on the front top. The side, I believe had welds but the top did not. (not sure about variants..I hope to see some more chime in here on this)

Hi David

Woody and Todd have nailed it for you, riveted applique armour and welded seams else where. I looked at Toadman's tanks on Google and there is a good walk round a Pz IIC with lots of close ups of what you are after.

Have fun
