Post Osaka Castle by Doyusha
Hi
Something a little different that I'm about to start.
This is from a very interesting range of kits from Doyusha. Japanese Castles .
The only thing is I wished they were all the same scale as some kits are 1/350, 1/175 & this 1 is 1/800.

Upon opening the box this is what you get a nicely layed out box with a thick piece of card to stop it all moving.

Now this looks real fun! The painting will make all the difference to this one. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do with it! :)

Very interesting Shaun! Are you thinking of adding in any lighting to the inside?

Cheers,
Ian

Hi Shaun

It looks very interesting and a real painting/weathering exercise. I guess construction must be quite swift, but that's not the real point, its the finish that will make or break the castle.

Look forward to seeing your finish, especially as you have said its an interest of yours, Japanese castles.

Hi
Made a start on this on friday.
Have had to fill a few sink holes around the base of the castle. used a normal filler & then gently stippled it to match the surrounding area's.

Have started to fit the lower walls into the roof area's.

The fit here leaves a small gap.
will have to fill these a little.

Overall I'm pleased with the fit , the detail work on the wall's & Roof should paint up nicely.

Strangely different, yet strangely attractive. :)
