 Re: Reading....
Got this to read while in Berlin. This is the story not just of those captured at Dunkirk but of the whole of the BEF who carried on fighting until the last evacuations almost a month later, those who evaded capture and who attempted to reach Gibralter or North Africa and the fate of the men captured in the fall of France and the horrific treatment they recieved att he hands of their captors. Although I had heard of two of the massacres of captured British troops in the wake of the German victory I had heard of the death marchs the POWs were subjected to, the summary executions and the systematic starvation. A real eye opener. Chris

 Re: Reading....
I'm lucky to be on holiday at the moment so hope to get through a few books - just started re- reading Dashiell Hammett's "Four Great Novels" (Red Harvest, the Dain Curse, Maltese Falcon and the Glass Key); hard boiled to say the least Cheers Karol

 Re: Reading....
I am struggling to get through the Foundation series again, never really grabbed me but I am giving it another shot. As for Sherlock, yes, love Jeremy Brett as Sherlock, fantastic series. I think the Kindle is pretty cool, never thought I would like it, got one for Christmas, love it, not all books are cheap though thats for sure.

 Re: Reading....
That may change soon. Book prices plummeted in this country a few years ago once the cartel had been broken up. It will interesting to see what happens with this latest case.
