 Easiest model Ever?
Most of you that frequent this place know that I am easily distracted from one project to onto another.... The line of unfinished kits in my wake rivals the carnage at Prokhorovka. So I had a thought ..... What is the simplest kit you have done recently? I really need something that can be assembled quickly and for which there is absolutely no aftermarket stuff available. If I don't paint something soon I will have to learn to paint all over again. Any ideas????? If there is some aftermarket and you don't mention it that is OK too... Steve

 Re: Easiest model Ever?
Just looked up at my cabinet Steve. How's about the Tamiya Hetzer? - it really doesn't get any simpler at 1/35. Or the Schwimmwagen? I know what you mean - I'm sick to death with my Steyr 2000 and my Sd.251/9 - they've been going forever Rob

Hello Steve,
What about an artillery piece? They go together quick and don't nerd any aftermarket to look great.
The other option is the Trumpeted Aerosan kits. The smaller one is as simple as a kit comes. I just started one for the fun of it. Something i can put together in the house (where the heater is). And even better for you...its Russian!

 Re: Easiest model Ever?
Something I've built recently? I think we'd be in trouble at that point already!
Must it be 1/35 armour? If not, how about a 1/72 helicopter or an Airfix 1/144 Saturn V? There are AM items, but if you are not too concerned about accuracy you could have the rocket build in a day or two and painted in 2 more.
Alternatively, go for some Dragon 1/72 armour they are detailed and relatively quick to build.
Cheers, Ian

Steve, don't make me count my own long forg...ehrm temporarily paused projects I'd say go for a Tamiya Panzer II, the new one that is. Very simple, very nice, virtually perfect fit of all parts and no aftermarket needed. It even comes with a crew figure If there's any strong evidence needed, I built and painted one without pause within two weeks Philipp

 Re: Easiest model Ever?
Maybe a Trumpeter KV.. any KV, I have a ton of them I built back when I was recuperating from the "lorry-collision-incident" - decent fit, low parts count, lazy or ultra lazy tracks as option . Other than that I second Philipp on the recent Tamiya Panzer II, everything I said about the KVs also applies here . Best regards Raoul G. Kunz

 Re: Easiest model Ever?
Steve, I have the same problem as you, can’t seem to stay focused. I find that may kits today have way to may parts and if the construction drags on I tend to lose focus and start something else. Don’t get me wrong here, I’m not complaining, I love the fact of how detailed and in depth kits are these days and don’t want to start a debate about it here like I have seen on other forums recently. I wish I could stay focused and build these kits, it just 100% comes down to me and my ability to concentrate (or lack thereof). As for simple kits, How about the Hobby boss Leopard that I’m building atm? It really is a simple kit that has practically fallen together in a matter of evenings. I have only had to fill two small sink holes behind the drive housings, in fact once the fenders are on and with weathering I doubt these would even be seen anyway. Not only this, but because it’s a late way “Paper Panzer” your paint options are pretty much limitless and is reasonably priced to boot! The one down side is the tracks though. Not that there’s anything wrong with them, it’s just the opposite in fact, they are well moulded with great detail. It’s just that they are time consuming putting them together (3 parts per link). In saying that you could just swap them out for Magic Tracks if you have a Panther in your stash? Peeks
