Hi Rob
I've used just about anything. Plastic , Metal even Veneer wood ( Dad used to use it for carpentry jobs) but usually I use the Thin sheets of balsa wood.
Easy to cut , shape & stain or Paint.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Balsa....I use it all the time now. Although I have to admit, I would prefer to use African Blackwood or Brazilian Rosewood if I had the money. :P :lol:

I`m with Vinnie and Shaun - Balsa for me too - cheap, and like Shaun says - easily cut,shaped :)
