Well, i thought it was time to revisit this now that i have my modeling mojo back
I think i am up to facing it
So, out of the box it came. Two issues i need to deal with first up is those brass side plates that are giving me grief and to strip the white paint that i started to put on the interior.
I used oven cleaner to strip the paint. It looked more like the fire extinguishers had gone off (that's if they had foam fire extinguishers of course)
...
As a bonus though, which made me very happy, the glue that i used to attach the brass plates it seems was not a great glue, and just on a whim, i gave the plates a lift and they broke free! Now i can trim them down easy
For once, it was a gift that something didn't stick
I'll progress with this more next week and move on to i am sure will be more hurdles to overcome
