Hi Simon
Nice to see you back.
That's some improvements you've made the the little tractor.
All the nuts/rivets would drive me nuts

Thanks for all the kind comments gents, yes Rob the figures are sorted and getting done slowly; Shaun, not worries I'm already nuts!!!!

I have applied the first coat of paint, may not be a great match for 4BO but not much will be showing so no real worries. It looks shiney as it's wearing a coat of Klear to protect it before the hairspray and next coat of paint, got a fair bit of masking to do first.

Also a detail photo of the crew weapon (DP 5?), the kit part was abismal so I scratch built this one.

Thanks for looking, Simon

Right well I've been at my bench again, though not quite got the results I had hoped. The T20 was always destined to be a captured version in German colours, the green was protected by klear and then had hairspray added before a coat of Panzer Grey. Unfortunately I managed to use a green and grey that had the same tonal value, D'Ho! It's not too bad and as it will soon have a winter coat added it won't be so noticeable. Well here it is anyway, see what you think.

I have added a wash and a pin wash to this after the decals went on so the difference in colours is more muted that it would be clean. Still there's loads of work still to do so I ain't worried.

I've also managed some work on the figures, these two were already painted and are now the first to populate the base.

Image

The T20 will have a figure braving the weather from the open hatch. He started life as a Dragon figure and with a fair amount of Magic Sculpt and wire I remade him to fit the hatch.

Image

A Battle Field Replacement for a Panzer Regt is to be sat on the back as he hitches a lift. Can't remember what this bloke started life as, though the head is Masterbox, the arms, hands and greatcoat are all scratch built.

Image

Finally I have a sentry figure for the front porch of the izba, this fella started life as a Dragon figure, I built up the great coat and zeltban (worn for warmth) using copper shim and magic sculpt.

Image

Well that's it for now, I am nearly finished putting together the next 5 figures, Masterboxes "Cold Wind" set, same as so ably showcased by Tobias in his blog.
