Post Farmers cart path
Okay, I'd usually upload something like this in the latest acquisitions thread, but I really do think this deserves a thread of its own.

Placed an order with Celticwerks last week and it promptly arrived today. Have to say I was really looking forward to receiving this and it certainly hasn't disappointed. This casting is absolutely superb. Full credit to Frerik for the initial sculpting and to Steve for the casting. Can't wait to get this one painted up and the Cromwell sitting on it

If you are in the market for a base, then you won't get better than this!

Hi Gary

That's one h*ll of a base and will really test your articulated suspension, but doesn't it look the real deal, I remember seeing these cobble-like streets in Deepdale, Preston in the 70's, I'm sure there are still one or two still about somewhere in the UK?

It will really enhance the presentation of any build, as it is quite timeless to somewhere in the world.

Great job Frerik and Steve

thanks guys, glad you like it!

Actually quite yealous of you Gary:
you've gotten yours before I got mine... when I see it, I really want to paint it.
I wonder how good the detail show up after painting....

looking forward to what you can do with it!

I think I will place a wheeled vehicle on it though, or rather my 17pndr AT gun...
much easier to get all points touching.

Frerik

Now that is a really nice piece!!! 8-) As Steve says, it has a timeless feel and could be used for almost any period :)

Frerik, you deserve a medal for carving that one!

It is a superb looking base. God knows there are loads of flat cobbled street sections, but the work that went into making this one look worn and battered must have been incredible. Kudos Frerik! :)

Gary has one, Rob Matthews has one, Greg has one, Frerik's got there today.....

I guess all the cool kids are getting them :!:

This is my favorite of Frerik's sculpts. I remember the first of Frerik's battered cobblestone roads that I saw. At that time I said, "You just see things that other people don't."

When you see this- you'll know what I mean. All the credit goes to Frerik!
