Apologies if this is old hat...

AFV Club has displaying box art and a kit number for a new M-42 Duster!

Okay, I know that this has been something Vietnam War modelers have dreamed about and cajoled AFV Club about (especially after the release of the M-41 kit) for years!! But while we don't have sprue shots yet --- you're not holding out on us, Vinnie, right? --- having a kit number and box art makes it seem like we're closer than ever to seeing this vehicle produced to today's exacting styrene standards!

Fingers crossed that it is for real and NOT a mirage!! Anybody else out there excited about this one???

Regards and Aloha,

Johnny B.

Hello Johnny,

I was looking at that. I am pretty certain we could put 2 and 2 together and come up with 4 on this one :D . Sure be a nice one!

Hi
Now this would be nice.
I've the very basic Revell kit in the stash :( , not got my hand's on the Tamiya kit ( still old) yet  .
So a Even more upto date kit would be great. :D

I won't hold my breath here....

certain companies have a habit of spoilers....

but they have released a 105 howitzer, so I'll wait for PLASTIC!

No argument there, Jon --- we've been teased on the Duster for, what, ten years or so, so we really can't hold our collective breath...? And I know that there are any number of kits which have received stock numbers, gotten the box art and catalogue treatment and have still never seen the light of day...and yet, I have a feeling that we're actually going to see this kit this year. Hey, who knows, maybe Dragon will jump on board and kit the Duster before AFV Club releases theirs!

I've got the Tamiya kit, but would love to keep it in the box in favor of a newer release... I've seen some great work done on the Tamiya Duster, Gino G's work coming to mind.

Fingers crossed for more Vietnam-era subjects from AFV Club and other manufacturers.... We need a new M113, M48A3 etc! Gotta have lots of new subjects to place around Bravo 6's figure line!

Regards and Aloha,

Johnny B.
