If you model Modern vehicles...you'll want this set.
![]() NATO Vehicles Common Antennas Set Manufacturer: ET Model Scale: 1/35 Material: Resin & Metal Serial Number: SR35-027 Price: £6.65
Introduction ET Model from China has a rapidly expanding catalogue of photo-etched and detail sets for a wide variety of kits in varying scales, together with a very prolific release schedule. This set is intended to provide (almost) everything you need to reproduce realistic antennas on NATO AFV's.
Set Contents The set is supplied in the normal ET Model transparent plastic envelope, stapled to a cardboard header. Inside there are four resin pouring blocks, one of which is transparent, nine tiny black, steel bi-conical springs, and an A5 sized instruction leaflet.
Two of the three cream-coloured resin pouring blocks, each have nine small parts of three slightly different forms on them, representing the antenna bases and various connectors, the third one having nine 'safe-ends' to place on the antennae. Which you can make from whichever material you find the most useful, since it's not supplied.
The nine small springs are basically the same as the real ones, and bend fairly realistically too, meaning that dependent on the material you use, you should be able to replicate a bent or tied down antennae without too much difficulty.
The transparent resin pouring block gives you four empty water bottle which can be used to mimic the ones seen duct-taped to antennas in the field to hold light sticks etc. You'll have to provide your own duct tape though!
Conclusion For the price....and usefulness this is just an absolute must have set for anybody that models modern AFV's. You'll have to consult references for which specific combination suits your model's nationality....but this set beats injection moulded parts supplied in kits hands down.
My thanks to ET MODEL for the review sample.
